Description:

Clomiphene Citrate (Clomid) is used for the temporary androgenic alopecia (male pattern baldness) androgenetic alopecia (hair loss due to male factor deficiency). It works by stimulating the production of folliclestimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH), which promote hair growth and slow down the process of balding.

Directions:

Take 1 tablet of Clomid (2.5 mg/5 mL) by mouth with a glass of water, usually in the morning. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. You can take Clomid with or without food. Do not take more than one tablet per day.

Take the tablet with or without food, but do not crush, chew or break it. Do not take clomiphene citrate with dairy products or calcium-fortified juices, such as milk or yogurt.

For oral use only. Do not take clomiphene citrate with other medications, such as those for fertility or on cycle drugs. Consult your doctor for more information.

CLOMIPHENE CITRATE (Clomid) is an oral medication (oral tablet) used to treat female pattern hair loss (a condition in which hair is thinning or loss and/or the growth of hair is slow, thinning, or balding).

Use clomiphene citrate (Clomid) as directed by your doctor. Do not use it more often than directed. It is not known if clomiphene citrate can cause permanent hair loss.

Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Tell your doctor immediately if you become pregnant, because it may harm the fetus. If you become pregnant, you should discuss with your doctor how clomiphene citrate may affect your baby.

Tell your doctor if you stop using clomiphene citrate.

Inform your doctor if you have heart problems or breast cancer. Your doctor may want to check whether clomiphene citrate can cause breast cancer. Ask your doctor about other treatment options.

Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding.

The duration of treatment may need to be determined by your doctor. Your doctor may recommend that you discontinue treatment before you start ovulation. If you are not sure, ask your doctor.

The amount of clomiphene citrate you use depends on the type of hair loss and on the length of treatment. Your doctor will discuss other treatment options.

Ask your doctor if clomiphene citrate is safe to use.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. You should not expect pregnancy until you are sure you will get pregnant.

Tell your doctor if you have taken any other medication.

Clomiphene citrate is not known to be addictive. Your doctor will discuss the use of clomiphene citrate with you, and you should not stop taking it without first talking to your doctor.

Clomiphene citrate is not known to be carcinogenic. You should not use clomiphene citrate without your doctor's advice.

Clomiphene citrate is not approved for use in women or children under 16 years old. Use of clomiphene citrate in women or children under 16 years old is not recommended.

The recommended dose is 100 mg daily (2.5 mg/5 mL) for 10 days.

Hi there, I'm going to give this a try to see if it helps. If this works, let me know what's causing it. I have been dealing with the symptoms of low testosterone in my family and my wife has also been struggling with low libido. I am now on Clomid (clomiphene citrate) and I have had no side effects at all. The problem is my wife's libido is very strong and she is in the mood and is also struggling with low self esteem. I can only imagine how difficult it can be for her to achieve a normal libido. I would rather have her than her partner. I've been trying to conceive for over 20 yrs. I have been trying to conceive for about 10 yrs now. It was a rough start and I have had to let go of the hormones. The doctor told me that she could not conceive naturally but she can get it up to date and do it for the next month or so. I would like to try an oral fertility pill but I'm not sure how. HiI have been trying to conceive my daughter since March 2010. My wife is a very healthy and happy woman. She is also a pretty happy girl. We have been having some difficulty in conceiving since I was diagnosed with high testosterone and I'm now on Clomid (clomiphene citrate) to treat low libido. My sister gave me her information on fertility treatments, but I don't think she read the advice and I believe she should have. She has an interesting story about how her fertility doctor did a very small study and said that she could get the medication up to date if she really wanted to. I would suggest going through this and trying to conceive with your wife and giving them the information she has read about fertility treatments, or trying to conceive naturally. I am not sure I want to go through the same process again. I would definitely try an oral fertility pill and see how it goes. Thanks for your input.

Fertility drugs have been on the market for nearly 40 years, but the new drugs are designed to target a specific area of the reproductive system - egg quality. The FDA also approved Clomid for use in women who have ovulatory dysfunction and who wish to conceive. It is intended to treat a condition known as premature ovulation. Premature ovulation can cause infertility in women with PCOS. The Fertility and Diabetics' Association (FDA) is the only FDA-approved fertility drug for women with PCOS. It is designed to stimulate ovulation in women who have not had a menstrual period in the past. The FDA also approved Clomid for use in women with hCG-deficient hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (HOH).

Clomid is also used as a fertility drug to stimulate ovulation in women who have low or no ovulation. The drug works by stimulating the release of GnRH from the pituitary gland, which causes the pituitary gland to produce more GnRH. This increases the release of LH from the pituitary gland and the release of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) from the ovary. The FSH level in the ovaries is increased so that the ovarian follicles are capable of maturing eggs and are capable of releasing eggs.

Clomid can be administered as either oral pills or injection at a dose of 50 mg to 150 mg every 8 hours. The FSH level in the ovaries is measured at approximately 12 hours after the last injection of the drug. The recommended dose is 50 mg per day for 3 consecutive days. In patients with normal ovulation, the FSH level is usually at an average of 2.5 or 3.0 mIU/mL. If the dose is increased, the dose should be reduced to 50 mg daily.
